The style of Tai Chi we practice was described by the late Miss Li as Beijing style as it originated there. It most closely resembles Wu but has many modifications made by Miss Li, mainly to make it easier to learn and practice.
North East Tai Chi Chuan was set up by Steve Pardue and Mandy Mosley in order to bring together those people who had learnt Rose Li Tai Chi from Anne Palmer. As well as regular classes we have a practice group that meets once a month to share ideas and practice together.
In 2009 we asked Andy James – The Founder and Chief Instructor of the Tai Chi & Meditation Centre – to come and work with us and since then Andy has delivered two workshops. We are now adopting Andy James interpretation of Miss Rose Li’s Tai Chi and are working with Andy in his Personal Mastery Programme.
Steve Pardue is currently an Instructor-in-Training with the Tai Chi & Meditation Centre, under the guidance of Chief Instructor, Andy James, and is now teaching the Sunday Practice Group, where he is sharing his experiences of working with Andy in Canada.
